Mark is an experienced entrepreneur and investor. In the late 1990s, he founded 1-800-TAXICAB, the first startup aimed at simplifying the process of ordering taxis using a technology-based national network. Under his leadership, the company grew to serve tens of millions of passengers nationwide. Mark has founded several other technology-centric companies, including a national franchise system, a call center automation firm which was acquired by a leading operator in the market, and a telecom technology “resp org” firm. Over the past several years, Mark has been engaged in acquiring Southern California-based cash flow positive businesses, focusing on opportunities where technology can be used to enhance growth. Mark is an alumnus of McKinsey & Co. He has a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin.
